Myrmica Rurba Colony Empty Myrmica Rurba Colony

the colony has 3 queens and 100+ workers, i put them into a basin with a plaster nest atached but when they started to dig in the most smallest part of soil, i thought well if they are digging there they must want to dig. So i unattched it and left the basin with the ants init.
im going to put them into a farm with a piece of glass on the side with soil in so they can dig there and forage in the other bit, unfortanatly i dont have very much sand and loam left so have ordered more and some new ants.

i have moved the ants into a basin with a piece of glass stuck to the side so they can dig there anyways the ants have moverd right in and have already dug to the bottem lol


i so much prefer having ants dig

the nest is really big they have dug to the bottem in about a day and they have a big larva

the colony have dug away from the glass but i can still see them forage for food
