Secound try with compontus cruentatus

Ok well I have had them since thursday they came with 5 workers and some larve and one cocoun. they are very active and the best lol

13/03/10- People say that compontus take time to lay egg but mine dont I have only had they for 2 weeks and last night my queen layed 4 eggs here of some good picture of them for Ryan.

Nice pics, try using photobucket to crop and zoom in on the ants themselves also you can sharpen the picture to show details clearer...I f you want you can send me the links to some pics and I will edit them for you Furthermore you might want to try taking the picture woth no flash since there's a light refelction coming from the tube. As for the ants themselves they are much longer legged than mine and to me don't look as fat... Try fedding them jam (mine LOVE it!) Good luck!

05 may- new update it isnt going to well with these ants. The numbers rised to about 7 then dropped down to 4. but they have lots of eggs and some lrave. One more thing over night my queen has become really fat [ She is massive] is this a problem?

My campnotus queen also gets very fat every so often then lays loads of eggs then she carries on laying for a week or two then she gets fat again...lol It's natural
